Verizon is currently running a promotion that on the surface, seems pretty good…. I’m unsure how much longer this offer will last.

50 / 25 Mbps FiOS Internet

All for $50.00 / MO. for 1 year. Plus taxes, fees, equip. charges.
Wow. Depending on your location, this is the same cost for just internet alone. DMAC TECHNOLOGY GROUP, inc. considers this a great deal for cable cutters! We must caution, yes, there are additional fess for rented equipment. But dont forget….
Promo rate via $22.99 bill credit for 12 mos. and $2.99 bill credit for mos. 13-24; beg. mo. 25 stand. monthly rates apply. HBO or Showtime discount applied via bill credit for 24 mos.; beg. mo. 25 stand. programming rates apply.
Unfortunately, this may be for new customers only. If you are currently a Verizon FIOS customer, you may be out of luck. We know that Verizon sometimes allows out of contract allows subscribers to cancel their service and start a new contract as a new subscriber. This may mean you will have to cancel your current contract, and perhaps speak to Verizon’s customer retention dept. YMMV.
Another method that may allow existing subscribers to sign up for this deal is to have your spouse sign up as a new customer. YMMV.
Another note of caution, as a current subscriber, you may be currently grandfathered into not paying a rental fee for your Verizon supplied router. Starting a new subscription may force you to start paying a rental fee for your rented Verizon Actiontec router. Consider purchasing an Asus RT-AC68U router with the money saved! After 1 Yr, about when the deal expires, the money saved will have paid for the router.
To further reduce your fees, if you haven’t already, get a Silicondust HD Homerun PRIME, but be warned, you lose Video OnDemand.
